Lucy and Belle – Review and £50 gift voucher competition

There’s nothing quite like twin parents. They just…get it, so you can imagine how chuffed I was when I found the wonderful Lucy and Belle on twitter. I got talking to the lovely lady Clara who is behind the business and have teamed up to review her beautiful products and also treat my lovely readers to a super giveaway! Lucy and Belle (Clara’s twins) are her inspiration behind her business (they are bloody gorgeous too!) and there are so many gorgeous luxury brands to provide you with quality high end products.

What We Tested

We tried the felt heart hairclips, also the multi-coloured necklace and bracelet set both by the brand Global Affairs. We were spoilt even more with a gorgeous unusual felt safari mobile and matching safari theme felt wall hanging bunting. The too were by Global Affairs who I have to admit I’d not heard of before. Lucy and Belle also stock the gorgeous Sophie La Girafe cosmetics which we have tested previously.

What We Thought

As I said above, I’ve not previously heard of this brand but I absolutely love the vibrant bright colours – as did the girls. They loved the pinks and oranges as they really caught their eye. They loved the bracelets and necklaces however they loved to put the necklace on as a headband! They’re still a bit little to wear them out and about but in the house I let them play with them (with supervision of course!) and they knew exactly what to do with them. The girls are only 20 months and can be quite boisterous shall I say and I’m pleased to report that despite trying to put the bracelets on their head they didn’t snap! There was a hairy moment when P1 wanted to try to stretch it to capacity with her foot but again it didn’t break so it passed it’s rigourous testing!

As I regularly mention my girls are little monkeys so hair clips often only stay in for a short period but when they were in they were extremely cute. The are easy to clip and unclip which is good when they’re being dragged out of their hair. They are soft and don’t feel sharp. The felt adds a lovely twist and again the colour makes them eye catching.

My favourite was definitely the safari wall hanging – it is SO cute! It is felt which takes me back to my childhood days when I was obsessed with playing with fuzzy felts! The product is unisex and would be suitable for boys and girls and I cannot get these up on the girls wall in their bedroom. It’s such a lovely change to see products made of felt and is such an unusual twist. The matching mobile is soft but does tangle easy so beware when letting little hands paw all over it!
