It may be easier said than done, so, starting with one change or a few small changes is the best way to succeed and get your back on track. Let’s have a look at some of them below:

Letting Your Routine Slip

There is no denying that many people have let their usual routine slip through lockdowns and working from home. It is of course, completely understandable, however, a good routine is good for your health. When you have a routine, you are more likely to eat healthily, sleep better and remember to fit in some exercise. If you have started to let your routine slip, it’s time to get it back up and running. Start off small with something like getting up at the same time every day or going for a walk at the same time each day.

Smoking

If you smoke, the thought of quitting may fill you with dread, especially if you have tried to quit in the past. You need to remember that although you may feel bad for a few weeks, in the long run, you are only going ot see the benefits from quitting. Although there is no proof that vaping and e liquid are better for you than smoking, some people use them as a step towards quitting.

Yo-Yo Dieting

Making changes to bad eating habits is a good thing, however, getting into the habit of yo-yo dieting could be worst for you and cause more harm. Yo-yo dieting is where you jump on and off of restrictive diets in a cycle. This isn’t a good routine to be in and can be detrimental to your health. You will usually find that people who yo-yo diet end up putting more weight on in the long run. This is often when you will hear people who find that no diet works for them. Instead of yo-yoing try to be mindful of what you are eating, eat a balanced diet, and don’t kick yourself for having a ‘bad day’. If you feel as though you have overindulged, just get back on track with your next meal.

Not Moving

Getting rest and relaxing when you need it is good for you, however too much can be bad for you. You can’t forget to get moving. It is recommended that you get around 150 minutes of exercise every week, including both cardio and strength. Using a smartwatch and setting yourself a reminder as part of your routine are great ways to get you moving and keep you moving.

These four habits are all habits that once broken can improve your health. Do you have any other habits that you would like to quit? Please share some of them in the comments below.
