We were kindly sent a Lunii Fabulous Storyteller to review. If you haven’t heard of them before, Lunii is a French based company who devised the Lunii’s Fabulous Storyteller, that is a super fun new-generation interactive storyteller. It’s nice for a child’s toy not to just simply be a screen, so I was really interested to try this out.

With the Lunii Fabulous Storyteller, you start with 48 original stories, following the characters Susan and Ben on unexpected journeys. It doesn’t have a “conventional” screen, instead the story is played out in the area on the front in between the buttons.
If you create an account, you get an extra six good night stories absolutely free. You can find more options at the Luniistore, with more games and discoveries, you can ensure that learning is made fun. There is also a Rainbow collection and a Pirate collection so a great variety for all children. It is recommended for ages 3+ and my girls will be 5 soon and they really enjoyed taking it out and about with us.

I love that it does not need batteries, nor does it need to be connected to the mains power to charge as I always forget power leads! It simply charges via the computer USB so it’s handy to have it on charge as I am working. There is always a slot on the side for headphones so they can play quietly, thanks to the adjustable sound nozzle.

It is really light and easy to carry around. It isn’t too bulky to slip into your handbag so we can use it on the go. We always struggle to keep the girls entertained when we are in the car as they quickly get bored and start bickering! So we really found the Lunii came into its own on car journeys. We are going away in the summer to Portugal so it is light enough to pop in hand luggage. I love that they can’t stumble upon anything dodgy which is often the risk if they borrow my iPad and land on YouTube.
The Lunii My Fabulous Storyteller allows children to create their own choices, simply and intuitively, by toggling and pushing the buttons. They get to choose their own hero, world, companion and object – and let their imaginations run free. My girls can be a bit of a nightmare to get into bed, but I think for children who self soothe to sleep, this would be a great way for them to have a story before bed with gentle low lighting. I personally think this would be suitable for children aged around 3-5 years of age, as I think that age group would love the ease of the storyteller.
I am excited to be able to give a Lunii Fabulous Storyteller to one lucky Twinderelmo winner. All you need to do is complete the RaffleCopter below. Open to UK residents aged 18+ only. Winners details will be passed onto Lunii to send the prize directly to the winner. Ends at midnight on 8th April 2018 . Winner will be selected at random via RaffleCopter and their details displayed on the widget. No correspondence will be entered into. Please read full terms and conditions.
