Summer is upon us and Facebook tells me that the world and their wife are off on their jollies. Whether they’re jetting off to sunnier climes or off exploring in the mountains, summer is without a doubt the time to get away with the kids off school for six long weeks. I love going on holiday but one thing I don’t love is packing, especially with three kids. I don’t think you realise how much “stuff” kids really need. I remember us taking the girls away for a week when they were two months old and the amount of stuff…

At the end of November and start of December, we took our first trip to Disneyland Paris. As complete novices, choosing a hotel cn be tricky. For us, the only option was to stay in a Disney hotel to ensure we had maximum magical effect. It can feel rather overwhelming but after much searching and chatting to people who had been, we decided to stay in Newport Bay in the Compass Club. The Compass Club gives you extra perks including: an extra hotel fast pass access to the drinks lounge a separate lounge area for afternoon snacks and breakfast special…

Last week saw me take a step into the unknown and take the kids away to Blackpool overnight for the first time on my own. I realised that I haven’t really shared many of my Disneyland Paris photos with you all despite many of you asking to see them. I thought I’d share my ten favourite Disneyland Paris PhotoPass+ photos from our trip. We paid for our PhotoPass before we travelled through our travel agents but you can buy a PhotoPass in the Disneyland Paris park. Most of the shops sell them and they cost around £45.

I decided to indulge myself when booking our trip to Disneyland Paris and we booked the Lunch/Dinner meal with the Princesses at Auberge De Cendrillon restaurant (ADC) when we booked our original holiday. I have always loved Disney Princesses and Cinderella was my absolute icon as a little girl. I had heard that the only way to meet the Princesses at DLP was to go to the Princess Pavillion where you queue up to meet just one. I have also seen that the queues can reach up to 3 hours and I knew no one would want to wait that long, so…

The final guest post of the week comes from Nikki at Yorkshire Wonders. She is sharing her six tips for visiting Walt Disney World in Florida. Take it away Nikki: If you are considering a trip to Walt Disney World in Florida (woohoo – go for it!), here are my tips for getting the most out of your time. The list is not comprehensive by any means, and I am assuming you are visiting the parks for the full two weeks.
