Wedding Evening Guest Dresses

We have quite a few evening “dos” coming up in the coming months and having lost three stone, I have rediscovered my passion for fashion.

I have to admit that despite feeling good, I still am sticking to darker colours as I still have a stone to lose. I prefer a darker outfit that can be jazzed up with bright accessories as it is more versatile and can be worn all year round; I’m oh so thrifty!

I’ve chosen a few dresses that currently on my lust list:

Clockwise from top right:

AX Paris bodycon £40, Little Mistress fitted navy dress £69, Oasis blue tea dress  £45, Chi Chi London navy scallop dress £79.99, Coast ‘Katey’ shoulder dress £159.

I absolutely love the colour of the blue Oasis dress along with the kooky retro looking lace sleeves. I think I would probably want to lose a little more before I’d be completely confident in the AX Paris dress as it is incredibly fitted, but it’s good to have goals yes??  Similarly with the Little Mistress dress but I adore the neckline on this one and the subtle detail on the front. My two favourites are definitely the Coast and Chi Chi London. The Coast dress is pure elegance and I know that they as a brand are fantastic quality despite the slightly higher price tag. The scallop detail on the Chi Chi London dress lures me in as it is SO pretty and the cut looks very flattering, it’s so feminine and classic.

I absolutely love that I’m excited about clothes again – although I’m not sure how kind it is on the bank balance!!

Which one is your favourite?

Girls Summer Fashion

As May rapidly approaches, a quick scroll through my Instagram feed has far more blue sky than grey sky shots, ice creams are creeping out and boots are being swapped for ballet pumps meaning only one thing – summer is on its way!

It’s always a panic when the temperature soars to get rid of the woolly jumpers and scarves to make way for our summer wardrobes so I’m trying to be one step ahead and have been searching for gorgeous summer kids clothes.
With two little girls to dress, I absolutely relish a new season to add some super cute staples that can be mixed and matched.

My girls will be three in June so for me, their wardrobes are all about bright colours and making it fun. The details for the items are as follows: Continue reading “Girls Summer Fashion”

Back To Skinnies

At the start of January I became the biggest cliche walking and embarked on a losing weight health kick. I started dieting and running and almost six weeks down the line, I’m absolutely thrilled to say I’ve lost one stone two pounds! I set myself a target of losing at least three stone so I’m really happy that I’ve made such a dent.

Losing weight has given me a confidence and already I am starting to fit back into clothes I’ve not worn since having the girls back in 2013. This new found confidence has meant I’m finally starting to diversify my wardrobe – meaning that I am finally ditching the black leggings! They became the only things that fit me and I’ve started wearing jeans again.

The wonderful side of weight loss is shopping for smaller sizes and I long for the spring where I can wear skinny jeans and gorgeous ballet pumps which I know I will actually be able to do this year, opposed to covering up in baggy tops and elasticised leggings. There are SO many gorgeous jeans out there so here’s a few I’m lusting over and will be treating myself to at my next half stone award.

Clockwise from top:

\ High waisted skinny ripped jeans from Pretty Little Thing // Levi Jeans high rise skinny jeans, £28.49 from M and M Direct // Light blue distressed skinny jeans from Boohoo //

I absolutely love the ripped and distressed look however I’m thinking I’m possibly a little too old to get away with them?! My husband absolutely swears by Levis so am incredibly tempted by them and the fact that they are high rise means there’s no risk of my jelly belly escaping!

I feel so happy to be able to be searching again for clothes to enjoy and wear and not just to cover and conceal. Expect lots more fashion related posts as I embrace my shrinking frame!

Party Shoes

As you know, I’m an utter shoe- FIEND! The girls also seem to be following in my footsteps as they love browsing their ever growing collection of shoes.

Whether they be sky high stilettos, glittery heels or glam flats there’s nothing better than setting off an outfit with a killer pair of shoes.

New Years Eve is the biggest party night of the year so whether you’re hitting the town or having friends over, here are four utterly divine pairs of party shoes for the festive period

Top left clockwise: Silver peep toes, Kurt Geiger Shoe Boots, Black spikes high heels, Daschund flats

Everyone needs a bit of silver sparkles at Christmas so these silver peep toes from Lunar Shoes are perfect. They will go with every outfit too along with a good splash of sparkle. I am in LOVE with the Kurt Geiger shoe boots from House of Fraser. The gold heel with the black is so classic and would be perfect for dressing up some black skinnies with a pussybow blouse. The black spike shoes give the edge to an outfit. I would wear these with a pair of jeans as these bad boys speak for themselves! Lastly, how can you not want a super cute handcrafted pair of flats from Hetty and Dave. These can be dressed up or dressed down for a casual night in ringing in the New Year with family and friends.

Which is your favourite look?

Kids Winter Fashion

These foggy mornings and chilly evenings have seen a huge difference in the temperature meaning we are having to layer up to head out on the school run.

Having two little girls means that there are endless options of outfits but the girls are now starting to want a say in what they wear. Luckily they are pretty good. My favourite winter outfits usually consist of a furry gilet, warm jumper, cute hat, denim skirt, tights and some gorgeous warm boots.

I’m off shopping later in the week so have been having a look online to see what I can get the girls and have come up with these utterly gorgeous items:
