We have finally made it to Friday and today the kids will break up for half term and we are all just so ready for it especially my girlies who have survived their first half term at school. I am struggling with the dark mornings so a week off will do us all good. I read a post my friend Louise had written about Seasonal Affective Disorder that made me think about my own moods and I ended up writing a post wondering if am suffering from a touch of S.A.D. I really have been feeling down this last week…

Autumn has become so incredibly fashionable hasn’t it? It is THE season that everyone seems to go crazy for now. From pumpkin spiced lattes, to the staple photo of your feet in boots standing in the leaves to the wistful orange pumpkin patches – Autumn looks good on Instagram. Big winter coats cover our lumps and bumps and big scarves transform an outfit, but away from the über trendy season – I am left feeling pretty crappy. Autumn makes me feel a bit down. The incredibly dark mornings are making it incredibly hard to me motivated in the mornings. The…

I have found it so interesting to see how the girls choice of toys to play with has changed so much over the last year. They absolutely love dolls and figures that they really “play” with; they like to make up little stories and go with it. As huge Shimmer and Shine fans, I jumped at the chance to review the Shimmer and Shine Magic Flying Carpet as I know that as they love the show, this would be perfect for them as they can create a good storyline for both Shimmer and Shine. It comes with the two Shimmer and…

We are heading off to Bluestone in December for some family fun and cannot wait. We have had quite a few breaks away this year which included my successful trip up to Blackpool alone with the kids at Easter time and we also travelled to Anglesey in the summer. I absolutely love going on holiday, but living in Shropshire means that to get to the coast is a pretty hefty car journey to get anywhere. I refuse to let long journeys deter us though and here are my five top tips to make car journeys less stressful. Snacks – the…

As we trudge our way through October, the dark nights and cold mornings are upon us and with Christmas still feeling that bit too far away to get excited, my mind always turns to a holiday and getting away from the doom and gloom England offers throughout the winter months. I absolutely love getting away; whether it be a night away in a hotel or planning a big family holiday abroad, I always like to have SOMETHING to focus on. I am definitely the sort of person that once we land, I will be googling our next trip. Winter sun…

We are officially in October therefore all things Halloween are totally acceptable to start talking about. I absolutely love Halloween and we always loved decorating the house, Halloween dressing up and of course, carving a pumpkin. Our pumpkins aren’t very adventurous (as you can see above!) unfortunately so I thought I’d ask a few bloggers to share their wonderful creations with me and there are some corkers! Georgina from Gee Gardner shared her creations that she did for her daughters on Halloween. I am seriously impressed with that Hello Kitty and how cute to add her daughters name too! I…

I can’t believe it has been almost a month since my girls started school. We have settled into a routine now and have been so lucky that they’ve taken to school really well, despite a little wobble on the first day. Sending your child off to school is a big thing for any parent, but sending multiples has it’s positives and negatives. Of course, they always have each other for moral support so it doesn’t feel like such a scary thing, however I’ve found other problems that your twins may face at school that you didn’t realise would be SUCH…
