As you know, I am a member of the Netflix Stream Team this year. As you read this, I will be on my holidays so I have asked my best buddy Emma from Ready Freddie Go to share her five Netflix faves. So grab a cuppa and check out what she’s been loving lately. Over to Emma; There is nothing more completely mind numbing than being stuck in hospital. I am in a side room and yes that comes with it’s bonuses, such as my own window, but honestly counting the ceiling tiles becomes quite wearing after say, five minutes.…

Summer is upon us and Facebook tells me that the world and their wife are off on their jollies. Whether they’re jetting off to sunnier climes or off exploring in the mountains, summer is without a doubt the time to get away with the kids off school for six long weeks. I love going on holiday but one thing I don’t love is packing, especially with three kids. I don’t think you realise how much “stuff” kids really need. I remember us taking the girls away for a week when they were two months old and the amount of stuff…

My childhood was primarily spent playing in the woods not far from our house. Me and my friends would be gone for hours into Bluebell Woods climbing trees, making dens, playing hide and seek all to pass the time. Fast forward twenty years ands my children now adore the same woods that I spent so much time in as a child. We are so lucky that we have such a beautiful area a few minutes up the road from us. With school around the corner, the girls will also be visiting the Forest School area on a weekly basis come…

It never goes away. You may be standing in the queue at the supermarket, sat in the car park, walking down the street, lying in the bath…it never goes away. You never know when it will creep up on you. A song, a smell, a day, the way you cough; it’s always there. Lingering. I am three years into this never ending road. The road that will never ever be complete again. The road ultimately ends when I do. Grief is shitty. The road has less bumps in it than it did three years ago, but when you hit that…

I have some very exciting news to share, if you read my Little Loves post you may already know but if not, I have been picked to be on the Netflix Stream Team this year. This means I will be giving you the low down on all the new releases, must watch shows and my own recommendations for all the family. I will also be doing this with the aid of my amazing Netflix mug that I was sent, along with a whole host of goodies those lovely folk at Netflix HQ sent us. I am way too obsessed with…

School’s out for summer! (Can anyone say that without breaking into song?!) Yes we finished on 21st and I cried my eyes out as my girls left nursery for the last time. It really feels like such an end of an era with my last babies finishing. It’s the knowing that this time, it is final. No more babies. Sob. This month’s bucket list took me by surprise as I have officially lost track of what day/date it is. A sign the summer hols are really underway. I am yet again in shock that July is over, but here’s my list…

Summer is here and touch wood, we have been able to get out in the garden quite a bit when avoiding some pretty awful showers. It’s great that they can get outside, but it also means that they are in and out every two minutes meaning all the floors downstairs are covered in muddy soggy shoes. Step forward WizMops. I am the first to admit I am far from a domestic goddess. I don’t think I am ever going to be someone who draws up a cleaning schedule or finds joy in vacuuming. I am always on the lookout for making…
