A New Chapter
Tomorrow my baby girls are off to nursery for the first time ever. At the grand age of two years and nine months, they will be left with someone other than grandparents and their aunty. I have no idea how they’ll react, or how I will. But I definitely feel it’s for the best.
I’m talking like they’re going all day every day when in reality they will be going for three hours on a Friday until the summer which really is nothing but it feels such a huge milestone.
If you remember, I was so torn as to it my two year olds should be in nursery and after so much consideration and swinging from yes to no, I decided that one morning a week would be sufficient and hopefully give them a change to what can sometimes be a monotonous routine of school runs then home.
But how are we here?! They should still be tiny dots crawling around yet now I stand with two energetic crazy daughters closer to the age of three than two and with under eighteen months until the school bell tolls and they are in the education system for the foreseeable.
I have seen first hand with my son how beneficial nursery is and I have no worries they will just love it as it was where Charlie went but I’m bracing myself for a few tears. I’ve explained to them that Mommy won’t be staying with them like she does at playgroup and they nod but we shall see.
Where have my babies gone?!
