New Cars, Parents Evening and Bad Moms #LittleLoves

It’s been a while since I have done a #LittleLoves post and I have missed doing them, as they’re always lovely to look back on and also to give you an update on what’s happening in my life. It’s been nice as my husband has been at home, so it’s nice to have someone to talk to after 7pm! I went out with friends last Saturday so we skipped Bonfire Night as such; the kids school do a firework display the Thursday before so we did get our fix!

Last night I went to the cinema for the first time in forever with my best friend. We went for a drink first then onto the cinema to watch Bad Moms Christmas which was really good! I enjoyed the first so felt I needed to see the second. It’s very funny and definitely one to see over the next month.

We also watched Gunpowder, as my husband has been at home this week. I’m not usually one for “period” type shows but I really enjoyed this. Definitely nothing to do with the main character either! I have also been rinsing Netflix for old Peep Show episodes. It’;s funny how you can forget how brilliant a show is over time. I have been laughing my head off and really miss it. I was late to the Peep Show party (as always) but just adore it.

On Wednesday, we had Parents Evening. It was the first year where we had three slots opposed to one. Charlie’s was first and as always, it’s lovely to hear all about him. He’s such a bright boy and school comes really easy to him. We always hear the same about needing to improve handwriting, but I was exactly the same every year when I was at school. My handwriting still is pretty rubbish but I figure there’s worse things to struggle with!
We then went for our double appointment and the girls teacher was pretty much on time. I am so glad they have her as she really encourages their individuality and I’ve never known a teacher to be so switched on. There were a few “oh dear” moments but as a whole, they’ve settled really well and are really doing well work wise.

I have also discovered Magic Christmas radio station – I am full on in Christmas music mode, as you’ll be sick of if you follow me on Instagram stories!

I have been rocking my ASOS avocado PJs that I was kindly sent from the World Avocado Association. They are SO comfortable not to mention pretty much the coolest PJs I may ever have owned.

We made a pretty decision and have traded in our car. Our brand new shiny car was delivered last Saturday and I have absolutely loved driving it. It’s such a gorgeous car and it’s made driving much nicer. I definitely think we made the right choice.

It’s my birthday tomorrow! I am excited as I still feel like a 9 year old counting down the days. We are off to the dogs tomorrow night! There’s six of us going so it should be good fun. It’s something different as we usually just go for a meal, so I am really looking forward to it.

B xx

Love those pjs! You just reminded me I haven’t had a look at the christmas stuff on Asos yet. Neither have I finished watching Gunpowder. I need my Kit Harrington fix. Have a great birthday! x

Happy Birthday! I hope you have a lovely time. I really want to see Bad Moms Christmas- if only finding a girls night which suits all was straight forward. Which Audi did you get? Pre-kids I always wanted a TT, now we’re all about the people carrier!

Sincerely speaking, my handwriting is worse but as you put it, we have some better things to deal with. Why do teachers always keep insisting that we should work on our handwriting even when we are doing our best? Oh and I am so happy about your new car, I am planning on buying a new one soon.
