On Sunday we headed over to Birmingham for Disney On Ice – Passport to Adventure which is currently on at the Arena Birmingham throughout half term. My kids are bonafide Disney fans so it’s always a huge treat to go see their favourite characters on the ice. The shows always have amazing seamless production and it’s a real highlight for the whole family to attend.
The show kicked off with Judy and Nik from Zootroplis which was ace as they don’t tend to appear much and we never saw them when we visited Disneyland Paris last year. After their fitness part, the show was ready to start and kicked off in style.
I was blown away by the skating during the Lion King section – that was definitely my highlight. The Peter Pan section too used some amazing staging and took it all up to a new level – literally! I won’t spoil the entire show but there were a lot less characters than the previous two shows we’ve attended but their segments really have been made to be superb.
Again, Frozen stole the show and were the final act. I can’t help but wonder if ever Frozen will be moved from the top of the bill, however judging by the audience reaction when Elsa and Anna hit the ice, I highly doubt it! I personally would absolutely love Moana to feature in a future show as their soundtrack is purely amazing and would definitely get everyone going.
The show was in two acts of fifty minutes each with an interval in the middle which is perfect when you have little ones,
It is currently running at Birmingham, so if you’re looking to catch another show throughout 2017 it’s on at:
