At the end of November and start of December, we took our first trip to Disneyland Paris. As complete novices, choosing a hotel cn be tricky. For us, the only option was to stay in a Disney hotel to ensure we had maximum magical effect. It can feel rather overwhelming but after much searching and chatting to people who had been, we decided to stay in Newport Bay in the Compass Club.
The Compass Club gives you extra perks including:
- an extra hotel fast pass
- access to the drinks lounge
- a separate lounge area for afternoon snacks and breakfast
- special Compass Club check in desk
- daily housekeeping
Our room was also close to the lift so after a busy day in the park, it wasn’t far to trek back to our room.
The Compass Club at Newport Bay gave us the option of sleeping 6. This was made up of two double beds and two single pull out beds.
The room felt huge. It has a separate bath and shower plus two toilets. It also came with a fridge so you canyour drinks and tea making facilities.
Newport Bay was refurbished a few years ago so felt really fresh and new. It is rated as a 4 Star hotel and also has a pool (towels are provided so you don’t need to take your own)
Here are some photos for you to look at. I have broken it down into categories for you.
COMPASS CLUB LOUNGE
I cannot recommend Newport Bay enough. We only paid about an extra £150 to upgrade to the Compass Clu and we felt it was definitely worth the extra space and coofrt. The hotel fastpass enables you to use it when you wish, so with little ones it was super handy. Also just a tip, if you are staying in a Disney hotel and buy things from the shops in the park, they will deliver it to your hotel for free. This saved us lugging around 6 teddies that we purchased one day! You collect it from your hotel shop after a certain time. We found it really useful.
Happy Disney booking!
