Leopard Boots, Disney Vlogs and Harry Potter #LittleLoves

For absolutely ages I have been seeing these Little Loves posts floating around summing up each week in six lovely little categories. Each week I make a mental note to join in, but this week I have actually managed to write out a whole post. I love things like this that make you realise how much you have actually done in a week. It can feel sometimes like you’re treading water and each day is the same, so hopefully this will serve as a good positive reminder.  So, what have I been up to?

I’ve been finishing off the last Harry Potter book. I know I’m like SO late to the party, but I started reading the books to Charlie and then found myself nicking them when he was asleep to read. I’ve finally finished reading all six and am now going to buy The Cursed Child. I forgot how satisfying it is to sit down and actually read a book.

I have a confession to make. My name is Beth and I am addicted to ridiculously trashy crappy mind-numbing reality TV shows. I am ecstatic that Teen Mom 2 (my ULTIMATE guilty pleasure show) is back and I end each episode wondering how Jenelle can make such bad decisions, how Leah has such bad fashion, is Kailyn is going to actually ever get divorced and how Chelsea has become SUCH a babe… It gets worse. I am watching Celebrity Big Brother. I know, I will hang my head. Jamie O’Hara and Bianca Gascoigne almost made me bring my lunch up with their antics in the toilet. Totally grim, yet still I watch it…!

I have dug out my old Amy Winehouse albums and forgot how amazing her lyrics and songs really were. I am such a huge Amy fan and it makes me so sad to think she’s no longer here and we won’t ever get any new material from such a wonderful talented lady. This is my favourite song of hers at the moment, but it changes regularly as she has such a wonderful back catalogue.

I have been charity shop hunting and got a few bargains including a brand new Topshop top that was £3.50. On the theme of hunting for a bargain, I got these leopard print boots off eBay for £20 and I am in love, as are my girls! Since losing three stone last year, my love of clothes and shoes has returned with a vengeance much to my husband and my bank balances dismay.

I also have started having my nails done again so I opted for shiny black this week. Saying that, my nails have gotten long so they’ve broken already meaning that they look crap. Not impressed and serves me right trying to grow my nails out!

I made our Disney vlog from our trip to Disneyland Paris in December. I had been meaning to do it for ages but I finally got round to publishing it last week. I’m still really new at making and editing videos but I realised how nice it is to look back on with the kids. I look back at our video from just a year ago and can’t believe how much they’ve all changed so I want to start making more as a more interactive memory bank to complement the blog.

The clip where the kids meet Chip and Dale is my absolute favourite as the love is all too much. My husband with Donald Duck is also quite a sight to behold!

It was my sister’s birthday last week, so on Sunday we are all going for a big meal together at our favourite place. It is so lovely for us all to get together and the kids just love having everyone in one place. After a pound gain at Slimming World last week, I’m not holding out much hope for a loss this week either. I feel like I’m really stuck in a rut and just cannot shift these last few pounds. If anyone has any tips they’d be really gratefully received as I’m really struggling.
B xx

The Harry Potter books make for escapist reading, even as an adult. I’m with you on the trashy TV – I’ve been keeping up with CBB. I just can’t stop; so addictive! Ah, I love watching Disney vlogs so I’ll be sure to watch yours later on this weekend.

I hope you have a lovely weekend!

I am addicted to Teen Mom 2 – I kind of feel like the girls have grown up with me (although I am a fair bit older).

Chelsea is just amazing and I am so happy for her, Cole and Aubrey. What a team! Janelle…..just what is going on!

We’re hoping to get to Disneyland in December, so I’ll definitely be watching your vlog. I think I’d be just as excited as the kids if we do manage to go. I used to love Teen Mom, haven’t watched Teen Mom 2 though, will have to give it a watch. Have a great weekend 🙂

I must admit I hate reality TV shows and don’t watch any of them!
Perhaps your body has adjusted to what you are eating so you’re not losing weight? We eat sensibly and healthily, but once every week or two we have a “Stodge Day” when we have fish n chips and a cream cake or something similar, just to keep the metabolism on it’s toes!

Sounds like you’ve had a great week and welcome to little loves! I’m more of a TV series watcher and am regularly found binge watching! I do love a pair of leopard print boots, and oh my goodness yes Amy Winehouse is amazing and so talented. Commenting on behalf of Morgana and myself x
