We were sent an EasiYo yogurt maker to try out. My girls eat absolute mountains of yogurts so I thought it’d be fun to let them be part of the process and help make their own. EasiYo allows you to make your own making a whopping 1kg at a time, so perfect for us as a family of five.
We were also sent two sachets to make which were greek style with honey and vanilla with peach.
To make the yogurt, you fill the small EasiYo pot with tepid water and add the sachet. Then you fill to the top and place into the large insulated cylinder which you fill with boiling water. The yogurt needs 8-12 hours to set so we left it overnight on the kitchen side. Once set, the yogurt jar goes in the fridge to cool before you eat it. It’s can seem a bit of a long process, but you need time for the yogurt cultures to do their work! Once it is done, though, you end up with 1kg of yogurt that will last up to couple of days in your fridge.
The yogurt was set and was thick and creamy. The girls were very impressed and enjoyed munching on it!
My only reservation would be the price of the sachets and they aren’t readily available in our local supermarket. It was a nice thing to make together and provided us with loads of yogurts but I think we will be using it maybe once a month to make a large batch. There are almost smaller yogurt makers which make 500ml of yogurt if you aren’t looking for such high quantities. I have seen that you can get three sachets on offer for £5.99 so 3kg of yogurt for £6 is pretty good value. You can shop the official EasiYo website here.
If you fancy trying one out for yourself, then you’re in luck as I am giving one away along with two sachets (flavours may vary) so you can make your own! All you need to do is complete the RaffleCopter below. Please read the full Ts & Cs before entering. Open to UK entrants aged 18+ Closes at midnight on 1/11/16. Good luck!
