Holiday Essentials

We are on the countdown for summer holidays and here we simply cannot wait!

We are last minute kind of folk so we will probably end up booking our holiday a few days before we go as, the lure of long fun filled days and hazy sunny evenings sipping a glass of something fizzy whilst the kids are in bed is too much for us to resist!

Holiday Essentials

We love to holiday in the UK as the girls are still a little bit little to fly (and we aren’t brave enough to take them just yet!) so with the aid of the treasure trove that is HomeSense I have thrown together a few holiday essentialsHoliday Essentials
Clockwise top right: Beach towel, colouring book, umbrella, large towel, salad spoons, plastic goblets

You can’t go away and not have a splash in the sea can you ? I love these beach towels that are super soft and super snuggly to wrap yourself in after taking a dip in the pool or sea.

When the kids are in bed and you need to wind down, an adult colouring book is the perfect way to unwind and relax Everyone loves a good old fashioned BBQ so these salad spoons and plastic goblets are perfect for home and away.

Finally, my absolute favourite is this beautiful umbrella. It is perfect to give oodles of shade when the sun is beating down. It is so vintage and elegant looking that I’d be wanting it up all the time! You can double up and take it to the poolside or beach to make sure you’re not in the hot weather during peak times – safety first of course!

And if you aren’t off on your jollies, why not grab a sun lounger and pretend you are! So put your feet up in your own back garden and don’t forget to wear sun cream!

Enjoy the summer. I’d love to hear where you’re all heading off to this summer break.

I like to wind down with a good book on a chair in a sunny corner of the garden -I do end up chasing whats left of the sun though
