A Family Wedding – The Ordinary Moments

Last Saturday saw my cousin get married. We are rapidly running out of family members and friends who aren’t already spliced so it’s something I really look forward to, as I do love a good wedding!

It was lovely to get the chance to get scrubbed up in our finery. The girls aren’t all that girly so to see them in little dresses was just lovely (even if they wouldn’t have their hair done!) The venue wasn’t far from us but we had arranged for my in laws to pick the girls up in the evening and we would stay over. If the girls aren’t in bed by 7pm, they are absolute gremlins so it seemed the best thing to do. Charlie is a party animal so he stayed over in my Dads room.
It was so lovely to be able to have such a laugh with all my closest family and to spend the day all together. My 82 year old Gran was on fine form and whilst the sun had disappeared it stayed dry and gave us some beautiful views.

The wedding breakfast was delicious and I definitely was not on Slimming World plan that day! (But still lost last week… I’m happy with that!!!!)

I can’t believe in September it will be four years since we got married. Times gone so fast and so much has changed in our lives since then. I’d absolutely love to do it all over again though!

It was such a lovely day and despite rather a lot of prosecco and gin, I was only slightly tiddly which resulted in my sister having about 40 photos like this left on her phone!

I love a good wedding and this year is the first time we haven’t had one to go to, like you everyone has already done it. Sounds like a good plan getting the in laws to pick up your girls, no one enjoys tired grumpy children. X
