Trespass Review

After what was an incredibly warm December, January has hit us hard. The freezing temperatures, grey dull rainy days and frosty bitter mornings which mean school runs, a warm waterproof coat is a staple to see me through the winter and beyond. When the folk at Trespass asked if I wanted to review I jumped at the chance as my previous coat wasn’t waterproof which is a complete nightmare! I was sent the So Warm Women’s Waterproof jacket to review, which is currently priced from £49.99. I chose it in the colour granite but it does also come in Shiraz which a purple colour.

The coat came to above my knee and ticked all the boxes that I think is an essential for winter – waterproof, warm, has a hood and pockets as with twins, I don’t have a free hand to be able to carry anything. This coat was just perfect.  It is also windproof so it really can handle all weather.IMG_5627The inside of the hood and neck has this lovely thick warm fleece which keeps my neck and head nice and toasty. It is super soft too. The hood is detachable as you can pop it off with stud pressings at the side.

The coat has four pockets outer – the main two on the side are absolutely HUGE! They are so handy as I can put my whole purse in it when popping down to the shops with the girls and have both hands free. They really are so deep and can be fastened closed with a button.

After doing the school run in it every day since Charlie started back at school, it really has been put through it’s paces. It has had wind, sun, rain and even snow to contend with. I can confirm it is totally waterproof including the hood.

After a muddy walk, I had to wash the coat. I always like to wash things when testing and it came out with no bobbles or fading. It didn’t take long to dry at all either which us always a bonus.

I love all the buttons so you can really get all warm and snuggly. The pockets are so deep and so many of them and every detail has been thought of including an elasticated draw-waist to make it more fitted if desired. The cuffs are also lined to keep your wrists nice and snug.

Overall, I think it is a fantastic price for such a trusted and respected brand that has been around since 1938. You can get free delivery on orders over £50 on the website which has loads of bargains on at the moment. Charlie will probably be needing a thick winter coat next year so I now know where to look.

I was sent the coat pictured in exchange for this honest review. All opinions are my own
