New Year Home Goodies

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year.

I have been busy trawling the online sales for lots of bargains for the home to add to my new additions I got over Christmas. I thought I’d share with you a few of my favourites that will be gracing our house in 2016.

badgerhedgehogcushion

I simply couldn’t NOT buy these could I?! Mr Badger and Honey the Hedgehog are now firm favourites on my daughters beds. They are so incredibly cute and were…wait for it, £3.95 each! They are such a cute addition and I couldn’t believe how cheap they were.

I’m a sucker for a tablecloth. We currently have quite a dark one so I thought seeing as we are going into Spring, that I would spruce things up with this bright beauty. It was £4.95 and has such a vibrant pattern that it’s really going to standout on the dining room table.

Now if you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably already seen these funky “cakes”IMG_5597 IMG_5598 IMG_5600

These were actually my Mom’s but over Christmas I decided to rehome them. They were originally from a charity shop and she had them for years and yes they have seen better days, but they are so cute and kitsch. They are knitted woolly cakes and fill my rather empty looking cake stand a treat. Seeing as I’ve just re-joined Slimming World, these will definitely be the only sweet treats adorning our kitchen for a while!

And finally – my Emma Bridgewater collection is growing!

I had the Mom mug for my birthday so was overwhelmed with so many additions to the collection. At the moment I just have a wall shelf, but the plan eventually is to dress a dresser with a vast collection. It’s going to take a while to build up the collection, but with so many gorgeous patterns I am spoilt for choice.

Hope you like my new bits and bobs for the house. What did you all get?

B xx

Oh those little cushions are adorable and what a steal.

I am on a tablecloth hunt, I am looking for a lovely fabric one although I may regret it.

How pretty is the Emma Bridgwater and is it wrong for me to say I’d love the badger and hedgehog just to sit on a shelf?! Sadly we’ll be in minimalist mode for many years to come until we get all the major refurbs out of the way but one day I long for lots of spaces to put pretty, seasonal things. Gorgeous choices X #HomeEtc

Love all of those, The cakes are amazing, I need to find someone that can knit me some for my cake stand I think! I love Emma Bridgewater, I used to have the tea and coffee canisters in that design but that was when I lived with friends so I left them there. I now have a lovely Emma Bridgewater radio that I got for Christmas though. x

I love the cushions and they were a bargain. You have to love Emma Bridgewater, I treated myself to a radio with one of her designs on it before Christmas, I love it. Such a great idea to rehome your mum’s ‘cakes’ too xx

Ahh, the Emma Bridgwater stuff is gorgeous! I don’t own ANY of her stuff but I plan on changing that this year… I’ve been dropping hints to the other half for a long time, but he hasn’t cottoned on. Typical! Xxx #HomeEtc

Those cushions are so sweet, what a great price too, amazing! I love the knitted cakes, I think stuff like that is fab. I tried to do some crocheted ones once but I don’t have the patience, too fiddly #fiveunder5

That tablecloth is lovely, there’s nothing quite like something bright to give January day’s a boost. And I’m totally jealous of your Emma Bridgewater cabinet! #homeetc

Those little cushions are SO sweet!!!! What a fab find!! I haven’t really got a collection of home things (apart from 17 years worth of Living Etc mags — does that count?!) I have a couple of bits of Emma Bridgewater — all different patterns though. I think the idea of all your crocks on a Welsh dresser is a lovely one 🙂

Thanks so much for linking up with us pet! #HomeEtc
