My 2016 Bucket List

Last year I did a 2015 bucket list and it’s been so great to look back and see how much I achieved. I thought I’d do another for the coming year

    1. Renovate our bathroom. Since moving in here in September I have loathed the bathroom. It is just grim. I hate spending anytime in there as its beyond dated. It has a toilet with a pull chain for crying out loud! We will be saving towards that as it is something we all so desperately want/need.
    2. Enjoy the time with the girls at home. They will be off to nursery every afternoon from September as they’ll be 3 in June and once they start, it feels like they’ve suddenly gained their own independence. It is going to be a huge huge wrench when they go as its been so full on and just me and them for such a long time so the whirlwind is all of a sudden going to stop. I feel very very sad about it all but don’t want them to miss out on nursery as it was so fantastic for Charlie, just for my own selfish desire!
    3. Take a photography course. This year has really made me realise how bad I am at taking photos. I did book on a course last year but it was cancelled and I never bothered to find an alternative.

  1. Take a spa day. I am so overdue a complete pamper and I am definitely going to book one for the spring.
  2. Sort out the garden.  We moved here at the end of September and the weather hasn’t been the best so our new garden isn’t in the best shape as it seemed fruitless to even attempt to do anything.
  3. Blog how I want to blog. I got lost towards the middle of the year and kinda became something I’m not. I have become far more erratic but I have realised |I'[m never going to be number 1 but I’m me – and that is what I want. Sadly it took two great blogging chums leaving to realise but I’m happy doing my own thing.
  4. Look into volunteering. The girls will be at nursery every afternoon come September so I really would love to take the chance to help out a very dear charity that helped my Mom when she was poorly. I have already looked into it but won’t be able to put it into practise until the girls are at nursery.
  5. Go to Drayton Manor. I keep seeing such amazing things and it’s not far from us so this is the daytrip I want to book and do next year as I have never ever been!
  6. Take Charlie to a football match. His football obsession is showing no signs of slowing down so I’d love to take him to a proper match or a stadium tour which he would adore.

Not an overly adventurous one but 2016 is going to be the year of saving if ever we want that extension!! What would be/is on your list? You can link up your bucket list on my linky.

A fabulous list lovely. I especially like the “blog how I want to blog” point. It has made me so sad to see some of my favourite bloggers call it a day recently. But it has also made me realise that there is no right or wrong way to blog. Just “my way”. I will also be interested to read your posts about your house renovation. We moved back in August and we have a lot that we could change. So I love reading other people’s blogs for inspiration. Hugs Lucy xxxx

Great list for 2016, we won’t have all that much exciting going on, we are hoping to get back to Disneyland, but that will probably be the only big thing all year that we will do, its the year to save a get rid of some debt I think. xx

A great list and I hope you have a brilliant month, so lovely to want to volunteer as well 🙂 I always feel sad when people’s blogs suddenly disappear, especially the ones that go without warning.

    Happy New Year hon

Such a great list honey. Not to far off then *yikes*. Our babies sure are growing up far to quickly. Holly will most probably only be starting nursery next January as she’s a September baby. Ooò a photography course sounds amazing. Volunteering sounds like such a kind hearted and thoughtful thing to do. You’re truly an amazing person honey! Wishing you and your lovely family all the very best 2016 has to offer. Xx

I totally understand your “blog how I want to blog” goal. It’s SO easy to get swept up and confused and lose your style! It’s something you don’t really notice until it’s all a bit too late. Luke is at nursery at the moment and it’s crazy how much more independent he is after just a few months of being there. It really does make you realise how quickly they grow up. Ray x

Love your list Beth, and Happy New Year! I’ve just written one too, with some goals but I’m hoping everything is still achievable. This year I’m planning to blog how I want to as well. I’ve been a bit lost this past year, despite some great things coming my way, but isn’t made me any happier overall if you see what I mean? I miss being more sociable blog-wise, and writing more family posts and exactly what I want to. It changes now! Hope 2016 is a fab one for you x

A fab list, I can’t wait to read your updates for the year. I really want to go on a photography course too. I feel like there is so much to learn and I am never going to get there on my own.
I agree with you about blogging – I have decided to try to change the way I blog in terms of times and what I write about too. It’s going to be an interesting year!

We want a new bathroom as well. Ours is from the 80s I reckon!
I’ve been volunteering at our local charity shop for over a year now and I love it 🙂

Great list. I agree with your blog how I want to blog goal. I look forward to seeing how you get on with your goals #monthlybucketlist

A new bathroom sounds lovely, it’s one of the most important rooms in the house. Good luck with the volunteering, have you decided where you are going to volunteer? Love that you have chosen to blog how you want to as well, although a shame your blogger friends have left. 🙂 x #bucketlist
