Bye Bye House

Today we hand our keys back to our rented house. I’m not actually as sad as I anticipated as it was always going to be a house we outgrew quickly but the house is one with many memories.

We moved here in March 2013; I already had a very large twin bump at this point but we got to decorate our babies nursery and get everything ready for our quickly expanding family.

This was the house that we brought them back to, where Charlie had his first cuddle on the sofa – the same sofa a few weeks later I would be sat on whilst my Mom delivered the heartbreaking news that she had cancer.

The house has seen its fair share of tears as we were overwhelmed by the toughest 9 months of our lives as she grew poorly and the days after coming back to a house she had been so heavily involved in getting ready for the girls.

The house has seen first laughs, first crawls, first steps – it is the first house the girls ever lived in. But it was without a shadow of doubt time to move on. Time to lay down some strong foundations and own our own home together – as a family of 5.

So goodbye to the house that served us so well. It feels so empty but is ready for someone else to start their journey in. And for us? The best journey is about to begin.

B xx

It is amazing how one place can hold such happy and sad memories. I felt the same about the flat that we just moved from. But you are definitely moving on to bigger and better things. And the chance to create an awesome family home. Hugs Mrs H xxxx
