Kitchen Wishlist

My favourite room in our new house is quite possibly the kitchen. The units are so cleverly designed with storage just EVERYWHERE.

We still have a lot of our kitchenware from when I first ever lived away from home so much of it was bought on a basic bargain basis meaning it is quite boring!

Over the years I’ve started to replace some of the plain items and jazzing them up. I intend to make a few changes in the coming months, starting with our plates. We had them from Next years ago and I still love them but with kids we have lost quite a few and with constant use they have a few chips in. My ideal would be to have a complete Emma Bridgewater set but I can’t justify that at the present! I have found these little beauties from Dunelm Mill which are such a simple yet gorgeous design and I adore the colour

We are now down to our last 3 wine glasses. This summer has seen off the majority of ours (blame the clumsy husband!) so I think it’s time to funk them up. I’ve always wanted black wine glasses and have fallen in love with these from House of Fraser which are currently reduced making them even more enticing!

My other “need” item is some new knives. My current ones were some cheap ones from IKEA and have actually lasted really well, but are now looking incredibly tired and a bit wobbly so I think it is time to treat myself to a new knife block – how times change in terms of treats!  I found these ones from Argos which are a good price but I’m undecided on the colours – what do you guys think, a bit too much?

I’d love to hear your thoughts

B xx

Congratulations on the move hun. Your kitchen sounds amazing. I love your taste too. I really want some new plates. I really like a set a John Lewis so will need to save my pennies. I love Dunelm though. They have amazing items. Can’t wait to see more from yoy about your new home. Exciting times huni xxxx

I absolutely love those plates from Dunelm, might have to pop along to my local and have a look, they look really chic and expensive 🙂
