It is such a beautiful place with so many gorgeous things however the kids will be interested in the Horrible History elements. Charlie loved looking at the “toilet” with sound effects which he thought were hilarious. We also watched an archery display, a bird display and the trebuchet launch which is pretty impressive!
The W Factor was Warwick Castle’s version of a very similar talent show but all entries needed a history theme – and the more horrible the better! Entrants were invited to take to the stage to showcase their horrible-ness!
Charlie and I were going to read a poem on stage infront of the crowds and judges but were pipped at the post by another girl who chose the same one. The consolation was that the girl went on to win the competition so at least we knew we had picked a good poem!
We loved watching the Wicked Warwick Live Stage Show which was packed with history but done in a super fun way! The shows are on twice daily until 6th September so it’s definitely worth a watch and you may even catch the W Factor winner and runners up in one of them!
We also climbed all the steps and got to the top of the castle. I wasn’t sure if Charlie would like it but he really enjoyed being so high up! See if you can spot us on the photos below. We had such a lovely fun day and can’t wait to return. I’ll leave you with some photos of an utterly gorgeous family day out.
