Last week I featured the wonderful Graham and Brown bambi wall print that now hangs in the girls bedroom. Well proving how lovely they are, I was also sent some pretty AMAZING wallpaper for my kitchen.
We have lived in our house for over two years now, and from day 1 I voiced my intense dislike for the kitchen wallpaper that we inherited. It is the only wallpaper in the whole house but this for a house that was built only 5 years ago looks like it could have been there 25 years. It is incredibly dated and old fashioned with the matching border and the hideous orange colour. It’s safe to say it certainly wasn’t to my taste. But like so many other things, it never quite made it to the top of the to do list. Other rooms and more recently the garden have taken precedence so when the chance to finally redecorate was there I grabbed it with both hands – and feet.
I chose this absolutely gorgeous cupcake wallpaper to redecorate the back wall. I know it may not be to everyones taste but I love bright, loud statement wallpaper and this paper definitely fits the bill. Also being in the kitchen/dining room with the food element it’s just perfect.
The wallpaper is thick and doesn’t rip easily which my husband advises me is ACE! You just paste the wall and off you go. It’s also super easy to put up because there at 6 cupcakes across each piece therefore you don’t have to faff around matching them up if the print cuts off at the end of the roll. It didn’t take him long to strip the wall, it is a straight wall with no fiddly bits which is always good!
I can’t believe the difference. I absolutely love how cute the wall looks not to mention tasty! The light colour also makes the room feel lighter and much more modern. There are also two other little fans…
They kept pointing and shouting “choc choc” which they mean a treat so they obviously know exactly what they are!! They certainly are my daughters indeed!
With the fridge against the right hand wall, I decided to have my two prints that I got over a year ago and have been sat ontop of the fridge gathering dust up on the left hand side as they would get lost if they were either side of the clock. Keeping in with my “food and drink orientation” nature they of course had to be main meals and pudding based to go with my coffee style clock. I am certainly making the most of the theme eh?
Graham and Brown have an absolutely HUGE range of wallpapers. The cupcake pastel print we have used is priced at just £15 per roll for a 10 metre roll. But there’s over 1500 wallpaper designs on the website so there really is something for everyone!
I think this is without a shadow of doubt my favourite wall in the house it comprises of things I love – pastels and cupcakes! What do you think of it? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
We were sent this wallpaper for the purpose of this review; all words, opinions, photos, babies and husbands are my own
