In the past I have always used sprays and creams on myself and the kids, so this was the first time I’ve ever used a mousse. Last year we really struggled with sprays as they didn’t seem to last and creams were very difficult to rub in whilst getting the girls to stay still so they would end up with half of it blobbed and not properly rubbed in. I have ginger hair so I also need to be very careful with my skin as it’s very freckly and I have a number of moles that need extra care.
The product does need a good shake but is really easy to operate but found the mousse itself very easy to apply and rub in which is always a bonus when you have toddlers desperate to run off playing! It didn’t leave a sticky residue on my hand after I had put it on them nor did it look shiny and sticky on their skin.
It seemed to last also when playing in the water tray. It is designed to give up to 6 hours protection for your little ones which is a perfect timescale when spending days out. It is small and comes with a cap lid and with needing to push the button for it to come out it’s unlikely to leak all over your bag when carrying it about like a cream would (and has to me in the past – nightmare!!)
We used the factor 30 but it is also available in SPF 20, 30 and 50 and kids 30 and 50. It has a RRP of £17.99. You can find out more information on products over on the Sun Mousse website.
Disclosure – we received one bottle of factor 30 for the purpose of this review. All words and views are my own.
