My girls are grazers. They would eat fruit and raisins all day if they could, they’re absolute little fruit bats. However, putting them in a high chair for snacks is a bit of a nightmare now they’re bigger and wanting to be more mobile. We also have to do the school run twice a day so they spend a lot of time in their car seats and pushchair so when they are peckish trying to give them food makes a LOT of mess. We had a new car on New Years Eve and my husband is still incredibly precious over it which means one thing – no eating! Sounds great on paper but sitting with two grumpy girls biding our time to avoid the wind and rain before going to the playground – show me the food!
So thank heavens for the awesome Oxo flippy snack cups. I know you can read reviews and think yeah yeah but honestly this is so simple yet SO useful – seriously kicking myself for not finding this sooner as my carpet would be a few stains lighter!
What We Reviewed
Oxo Tots were incredibly generous and sent us a green and a raspberry cup. The recommended age is from 12 months plus.
What we thought
MASSIVE THUMBS UP! It is such a simple concept; a cup with handle for easy grip and a rubber flap so that when you tip it upside down the food contents don’t fall out and spill everywhere. The toddler has to push their hand through to get the food. I have to admit I giggled as P1 was completely bamboozled when I first gave it to her and got rather vocal as she couldn’t get her beloved grapes out. But she quickly figured it out and I’m please to say that nothing has escaped onto my carpet – not even raisins (we tried out a variety of foods!!)
The cup also comes with a clip on lid so if you are travelling and want to pack a snack, it becomes air tight.
The cup is priced at £6. Honestly – I would pay that. It’s a very helpful useful piece of feeding kit to have around. Kids are always going to want snacks and be on the move in the pushchair and as we know they can get them everywhere – I am forever picking out raisins from the bottom of the girls footmuffs. You screw the lid on so no little people will be able to undo it and spill everything. My only slight criticism would be that I would possible like it to be a little deeper. Although I know that small fingers may not be able to reach but I’d like to keep it for when they’re a bit bigger but that’s just me!
All in all – love it/ My husband also was very impressed as he no longer has to pick mushed up food off the carpet. You can buy the Oxo flippy cup on Amazon and t is priced at £6.
Disclosure – we were sent the two cups pictures in exchange for this honest review. All words and pictures are my own
