If you’re anything like me, I love a good nose at other people’s stuff. I have decided to make it easier for you and am sharing what I got for Christmas this year. I’m putting it out there now that my husband’s gift buying puts me to SHAME as he’s so bloody good at it, the git. If you follow me on Instagram you will remember his amazing birthday surprise shoes? Well, he’s done it again!
I was tagged by the lovely Emma from Sophie, Ella and Me to write all about Christmas!
What’s your favourite Christmas movie?
I love Nightmare Before Christmas although it’s not 100% Christmassy as such. I also love The Grinch and Elf as they’re both so funny.
Our third Christmas without you beckons. I never thought I’d make it through one let alone three, yet here we are. Less than a week away and the build up still feels like there’s something missing. That last piece of excitement, of completeness, of you.
Christmas was your favourite time of the year. You absolutely squirreled and saved to make sure we all had the best time. Traditions down to what we ate, what we wore and even when walking the dog – it was all there. But we’ve broken those. They aren’t the same anymore. Nothing is.
This year though I am excited for Christmas. The girls are three and a half and this years really has been the first where they are right there feeling the joy and exhilaration that Christmas makes kids feel. I am loving seeing their faces each day as we count down the days. But it’s so hard.
How on earth are we under three weeks away from Christmas? This year I am really happy to say that I am pretty much sorted, however I’m not usually. I thought I’d compile a last minute kids Christmas gift idea post for you guys; I know, too kind right?!
I have been looking at The Works Christmas Shop trying to get some inspiration and there is so much to choose from at really affordable prices, which as a parent of three is music to my ears!
Charlie is going to be 8 at the weekend (sob) so he is now starting to morph into more grown up stuff. He still absolutely loves reading but things like WWE are starting to feature more in his interests along with Harry Potter which ignited after our visit to the Warner Brothers Harry Potter studio tour in the summer.
He loves Diary of a Wimpy Kid books and they are brilliant books for those wanting to expand their reading collections with a good dollop of humour. Christmas isn’t a Christmas without a good annual is it? These Match! books are brilliant as they’re crammed of stats and facts which I know Charlie and his mates love chatting about at lunchtime.
