Since starting my Slimming World and fitness journey in January 2016, I have managed to lose three stone. You can follow my journey as it unfolds on all my Fitness and Weight Loss posts.

I was so unhappy with my weight, that I had managed to pile on since the death of my Mother and having my twin girls in 2013. I didn’t realise how much it was affecting every part of me. From low self confidence to constantly feeling tired and sluggish, I decided to make a change and join a Slimming World group. It was the best decision I have ever made.

I also started doing the Couch to 5k app. I’m not ashamed to say I struggled to run for 60 seconds but I carried on and in the space of three months I ran 5k with ease! It was something I never thought I would be able to do and it was exhilarating.

Being able to exercise with kids is hard. You’re shattered and when on earth can you find time for yourself? But I HAD to do this and it was the best thing ever. I am so much happier now and while I know it’s got to be a lifestyle change, it’s not been that horrific. I am always that type of person who will put every single excuse in the way instead of doing something. I guess that is why it took me almost 3 years to do something, but I have and I won’t look back.

There are days when I can’t be arsed. Days where I eat 6 bags of crisps and a pack of biscuits. I am not a robot, I have these days and sometimes they turn into weeks but I know my limits and after binging getting back on the wagon is something I crave. I am not endorsed by anyone – these are completely my own choices and results. And I’m bloody thrilled with them!
