With Winter officially over, I have the Spring bug. I am itching to get back out in the garden and whilst the temperatures are still pretty low and the rain keeps falling, I am optimistic that we will be out in the garden in the next few weeks. As soon as we can, we will be taking our brand new Big Games Hunter Wigwam Play Tent that we have kindly been sent to review. I opted for the flower and butterfly pattern as I loved the bright colours and patterns.
The wigwam comes in parts and you need to assemble it yourself. I have to admit that my husband really struggled with putting it together as the poles kept slipping but with a little help from me, we finally got it together and the girls were super excited to play.
The tent is secured by the poles at the top and give it a real authentic wigwam look and feel. I love how cool it looks in comparison to play tents they’ve had before. My Mom got Charlie a lightweight tent and it would blow away across the garden with the slightest of wind, so with this wigwam play tent it’s definitely going nowhere.
The tent doesn’t come with a bottom sheet so as we were playing on a wooden floor, I popped our picnic blanket down to make it a bit more comfortable. I think outside it will be fine as the grass will be soft for them, but just be aware the one above isn’t included!
Big Games Hunters have an entire section dedicated to school play equipment, from which the wigwam play tents are available. This new section of the site is broken down in key stages and has a brilliant wide variety of products suitable for nurseries and schools. These play tents are brilliant spaces to encourage creative thinking and I know they’d be so popular at my daughters nursery.
The tent is quite big, as you can see she managed to stand up inside it and there’s lots of space for the girls to lie down and play with their toys easily. It also folds up nicely as the poles close together meaning it could quite easily be stored in the corner of a shed.
Here are the technical specifications from the Big Game Hunters website:
