As you all know by now, I’m a Slimming World member and I’m really enjoying it. It’s been literally, life changing. My whole mindset has changed so much since I joined back at the start of January. I am feeling happier, more confident and just good about myself generally. I have started shopping again whereas before I’d just get a massive top from the charity shop that concealed every lump and bump.
I have lost quite a lot of weight in a short space of time, something I never really thought possible. Some people always tell you the quicker it comes off the quicker you can pileit all back on – thanks. Super helpful. But for me, this isn’t about a quick fix, it’s about a lifestyle change. This is how I want to eat. It’s not about starving or depriving, it’s sustainable and I really enjoy it.
Saying that, I think everything in moderation is the best way. I don’t want to become obsessed by losing weight and I know that balance is key so on Friday I totally indulged and had a wonderful time having my cheat meal and going out for a lovely meal with myhusband, sister and her partner. And it was bloody delicious.
It has been a very emotional week given that it was the two year anniversary of losing Mom so it was nice in a way to be together and have a nice evening in a week which has been very mixed.
My sister had been to the restaurant before and absolutely raved about it so we decided to stray from our local in town and went and she was right – it was excellent. The staff were so lovely and really on it and the food was fabulous. Next time I definitely won’t be offering myself as designated driver though as their wine and gin list was amazing!
