If you are following me on my Facebook page, you may remember I posted about struggling to find my daughters not overly girly Paw Patrol clothing as they are huge fans. Everything seemed to be incredibly girly with just Sky on for girls. Luckily, Character.com got in touch and very kindly offered me a review of some of their items.
We were sent two Paw Patrol short sleeved t-shirts, a Minecraft t-shirt for Charlie and Diary of a Wimpy Kid PJs for Charlie, My Little Pony PJs for P1 and Finding Nemo PJs for P2.
What really struck me when looking at the website was the wealth of characters that they stock. There’s your usual very popular favourites such as Star Wars, Peppa Pig, Frozen and Spiderman but also the smaller not as commercial characters. Charlie was absolutely amazed when he saw he had Diary of a Wimpy Kid pjs as he’s obsessed with the books and I have never seen anything in the shops with it on.The girls as you may guess were absolutely made up with their Paw Patrol t-shirts. I felt that these weren’t overly girly as usually they are pink tshirt with glittery writing and only ever have just Sky on (the girl character who, of course, is pink) whereas they like all the other characters more than her! As they are three in just a few weeks we got age 3-4 so they are slightly big with plenty of growing room. it’s so hard when they are on the cusp of an age range isn’t it! The tshirts themselves feel good quality material and the print on the front withstood washing without any cracking or fading which I am always dubious of when buying clothes with a print on the front. The tshirts are £5.95 and £6.95 which is totally what I would expect to pay in all shops for a character tshirt so is very competitive and there’s such a diverse choice. The night that we had the PJs they insisted on wearing them to bed. They felt incredibly soft and no scratchy tags which my two are the first to point out if they aren’t happy. There were no itchy seams and have elasticated waists.
They fitted well and the My Little Pony pair had cute lace detailing around the sleeves. These too washed well with no signs of colour fading or running . I found them true to size and was impressed by the thick quality material.
The same was with Charlie’s – super soft and he loved that he had something a bit different. I liked that the top was short sleeve too as he gets so hot!
My only gripe would be the postage. There is no second class option and whilst the y send it first class for £2.95 which I think is very reasonable, you have to pay 50p for each additional item, which when wanting to buy some sale bargains or if you have more than one child, it can soon add up. I’d like to see a flat rate postage charge for the whole order as for me, high postage can put me off buying. However all orders over £25 are free of charge.
They also have a range of men’s and women’s items along with accessories, bags and swimwear.
If you like what you see, why not get your hands on some swimwear as the summer is just around the corner. I am giving away one item of swimwear to a lucky Twinderelmo reader.
