The Week That Was [25/1/15]

Hello and welcome. Yet another week has flown by and as we head into February I can’t quite believe how fast time is going already.

First of all I want to say a huge thanks to Caroline at Diary of a Mum of Three for linking up with us each week – it’s really appreciated!

So on to my week:

The Week That Was… At Home

What a week!! I got a text on Tuesday afternoon from my husband saying he was feeling ill. He was working away all week down in Kent which is over three hours away so I thought he would have to go back to his hotel and keep everything crossed it wasn’t a bug that we may get. I got a phone call about 7pm just as I was going to put the kids in bed from him – he was in hospital! Complete panic stations as they thought it was appendicitis and he would probably have to have surgery; add a low battery into the equation and being three hours away made me feel incredibly stressed!  Luckily after 2 very long days, he was released and they put it down to an infection so no surgery was required. Very scary but glad it’s all over now. Phew!

We didn’t end up going to the school bonfire on Thursday. Charlie changed his mind at the last minute so we watched from my bedroom instead saving us from the cold! Charlie also had saved all his birthday money for a football shirt which arrived this week and he was super thrilled with it.The Week That Was… On The Blog

It’s been a pretty quiet week blog wise. I got tickets to Tots100 Blog Camp in Birmingham which is really excited. I’ve been to two in the past and they are really good plus I get to catch up with friends I don’t get to see often, including my fellow co-host!

My Klout scored has jumped up! I hadn’t checked it in ages and last time I was 65 and it’s now hovering around 67-68 which is good (I think) but I’m still clueless as to how to use it! Hurrah. I absolutely loved how many people shared the pain when I wrote my 37 reasons my toddler had a tantrum post. There were lots more I can assure you…!

Blog reading wise, I have been a bit crap this week. I haven’t had time to read many new posts – sorry! I have got four giveaways live at the moment (plug plug) if you want to check them out.

The Week…Ahead

I have my third Slimming World weigh in on Tuesday. I was quite disappointed that I only lost a pound last week. I’ve been really good and started running a lot more however, I’ve got a flipping cold so I’m hoping it clears soon so I can get back out there. My Monthly Bucket List will be live on Sunday so if you’ve not joined in before it’d be lovely to have you. You can find all the details on the linky here.

I have ZERO plans for the coming week which is actually quite nice. I desperately need to catch up with my best mate as it feels forever and I am missing my Godson.

Bless you so glad your hubby was OK. You are fab & put me to shame squeezing in running as well as the kids etc. I really must write one of these as live reading them. Lifeinthemumslane
